Some members of the team attended the Women’s March in Philadelphia this morning. Because we are an all-girls team at an all-girls school, we are very passionate about women’s empowerment. We believe that women should have all the same opportunities that men do and we should be paid the same. Go Girls!!
Today, the official season began with the game release of this year’s challenge. Every year, the team takes the whole day to strategize and plan for the rest of the season to determine what the robot will look like.
Every year, the girls kickoff their robotics season with 4 weeks of completing an off-season challenge. Through this, new members of the team learn to work with tools, structure code, and electronic wiring, while old members can revive their past skills and spread their knowledge. This year, there are two teams competing with each other to create a robot that can beat a series of obstacles.
